Early American Colonial primitive furniture inspired by real
antiques
At Primitiques, of
Chadds Ford, PA, artists Bill and Beth Merryfield take great
care to create handmade & hand painted, heirloom-quality
reproduction home furnishings. Using historic museum painting
techniques and old world woodworking methods, they replicate the
look & feel of Colonial America.
Bill & Beth, a
husband & wife team, skillfully attend to every fine detail of
this multiple step process to create historically accurate
furniture that is sure to add the warmth and charm of days gone
by to your home. They specialize in making Colonial shelving,
Early American cabinetry, tea trays, heirloom mini-chests,
kitchen furnishings, Redware Dinnerware and much, more.
The Merryfields have
spent years admiring, collecting and researching Early American
furnishings and decorating to renovate their 1790s Pennsylvania
Federal Style home. They took their passion for Colonial
primitives another step and began handcrafting and hand painting
primitive country smalls to decorate their home.
Many pieces shown on Primitiques.com are also available at the
Springhouse gallery, in Chadds Ford, PA, on Route 1 in historic
Chester County.
