Free Log-Sided Cabin Plans from CAD NorthWest and Kwikplans.com

Free plans for building an attractive one bedroom cabin with a sleeping loft.

Cad Northwest is a computer aided drafting company specializing in custom home and garage designs.  They have been supplying home owners, builders and contractors with design packages that allow building permits, accurate construction bids and efficient construction of projects since 1989.  They use modern computer equipment and software to produce design packages that provide many advantages over companies that still use hand drafting. Cad Northwest is located in Tigard, Oregon, near Portland.

CAD NorthWest also has an expansive selection of inexpensive stock plans for cabins, homes and garages. These are professional quality plans that are permit-ready for most locations. Custom modifications are available for all.

As a sample of the quality of their plans, CAD NorthWest offers free, downloadable plans for a little 16'x24' cabin with a gable roof and a 6'x16' front porch. The cabin has one bedroom, a full bath, a galley kitchen and a big all-purpose room on the main floor. There's a ladder to a 12'x16' loft. Log siding, over easy-to-build stud framing gives a modern, well insulated little home with the look and durability of a log cabin.

The free, nineteen page plan set includes floor and foundation plans, exterior elevations, framing and foundation details, load tables and a complete material list. You'll have the option of a crawl-space foundation or slab-on-grade.

All in all, this is a very nice set of drawings for a great hunting, fishing or vacation cabin.
